Yep! Hemp (not the stuff you smoke though). We’re actually talking hemp seed oil (obtained from the seeds of the Cannabis Sativa plant), and not to be confused with oil made from the cannabis flower which contains tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the chemical that gets people “high”! Hemp seed oil contains little to no THC, instead it contains cannabidiol (CBD).
Hemp seed oil (Hemp oil) actually provides some outstanding benefits and is becoming increasingly popular in treating a range of physical conditions – and that’s why it’s a key ingredient in quite a number of our products.
Hemp oil contains large amounts of omega-6 and omega-3 fats (unsaturated “good fats”), and all nine essential amino acids, which your body uses to make protein. There have also been studies that indicate the omega-3s and omega-6s in hemp oil may be effective in treating a number of skin conditions, including acne, eczema, dermatitis, lichen planus, acne rosacea and psoriasis.
